Supporting Local Campaigns
Every dollar donated to the Ottawa West–Nepean NDP directly supports our local campaigns and organizing efforts, helping us build a stronger community together.
Federal Contributions
If you have taxable income, you can receive a substantial tax credit on your 2023 tax return:
- 75% of the first $400 donated
- 50% of the next $350 (from $400 to $750)
- 33% of the remaining amount, up to a maximum rebate of $650
Please note: Only Canadian citizens or permanent residents may donate, with a maximum contribution of $1,700 to federal riding associations in 2023.
Provincial Contributions
For donations to the Ontario NDP, you can also benefit from significant tax credits:
- 75% on the first $437 donated
- 50% on donations between $437 and $1,457
- 33.33% on donations between $1,457 and $3,315
Please remember that unions and corporations are not permitted to make federal or provincial political contributions.
