Chandra Pasma – candidate for the OWN NDP nomination for the June 2018 Ontario Election - is a long-time resident of Ottawa who makes her home in Qualicum (in Ottawa West-Nepean).
- As a researcher with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, she helps workers defend their rights while advocating for essential public services for all Canadians.
- As a long-time anti-poverty advocate, Chandra has fought hard to remind governments at all levels of the importance of looking after the most vulnerable members of our society.
- As a former researcher and policy advisor in the Office of the Leader of the Federal NDP, she worked side-by-side with parliamentarians to deliver change for Canadians on issues like Employment Insurance, affordable housing, and child care.
Chandra is also the mother of three young children who attend school in the riding. Chandra is excited to bring the NDP’s message of hope-filled, progressive change to Ottawa West-Nepean.
